Kishwanth (MD, DM, Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist &amp; Interventional Endoscopist)<\/strong>, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by\u00a0<strong>Dr. G. Govindaraj Varadhan, Executive Director<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Dr. P. Sasipriya, Managing Director<\/strong>\u00a0of Harshamitra Hospital.<\/p>\n<h3>Understanding Stoma Care<\/h3>\n<p>Speaking at the inauguration, doctors explained the importance of specialized care for stoma patients:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cA stoma is a surgically created opening on the abdomen to help eliminate body waste when natural functions are disrupted due to conditions like cancer or diseases of the intestine or bladder.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the condition, patients may undergo procedures such as\u00a0<strong>colostomy (large intestine), ileostomy (small intestine), or urostomy (bladder)<\/strong>. Living with a stoma requires proper daily care, guidance on using stoma bags, and psychological support.
