delayed diagnosis,\u00a0<em>Harshamitra Super Speciality Cancer Centre<\/em>\u00a0in Trichy has been leading the way in spreading awareness and promoting preventive healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>In continuation of its outreach programs,\u00a0<strong>Harshamitra Hospital<\/strong>\u00a0organized a\u00a0<strong>Cancer Awareness Program<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>October 7, 2025<\/strong>, at\u00a0<strong>SFS Public Anglo Indian School, Kunnathur, Trichy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The session witnessed an energetic participation of school students who listened, interacted, and learned about the importance of\u00a0<strong>early cancer detection and prevention.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Focus on Education and Awareness<\/h3>\n<p>Oncologists and health educators from Harshamitra Hospital addressed the students, explaining in simple terms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What causes cancer and how it develops<\/li>\n<li>The importance of early detection and timely screening<\/li>\n<li>The health risks of smoking, alcohol, air pollution, and kitchen smoke<\/li>\n<li>The benefits of balanced diet and regular physical activity<\/li>\n<li>How positive lifestyle choices can drastically reduce cancer risk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The students were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions such as:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cCan cancer be completely cured?\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cWhat are the symptoms we should never ignore?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Doctors answered each question with patience, highlighting that\u00a0<strong>early diagnosis saves lives<\/strong>\u00a0and that\u00a0<strong>awareness is the first step toward prevention.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Voices from the Event<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cCancer awareness should begin at a young age,\u201d said a senior oncologist from Harshamitra.<br \/>\n\u201cChildren are powerful agents of change \u2014 they carry this knowledge back home and help build a health-conscious community.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div habits<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 nutritious food, regular exercise, and avoidance of tobacco and alcohol.<br \/>\nTeachers and administrators from SFS Public School appreciated the hospital\u2019s effort, calling it\u00a0<em>\u201ca much-needed program that plants the seed of awareness in the next generation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The program concluded with a commitment from both the hospital and the
