Awareness Program on Cancer and Screening Camp Conducted by Harshamitra Hospital

On November 17, 2024, a significant awareness event was organized by Harshamitra Hospital at the Adi Dravidar Women’s Hostel, located near Trichy Cantonment. This initiative aimed to educate college students about the impact of cancer, its causes, and preventive measures.

The session was led by the esteemed directors of Harshamitra Hospital, Dr. Sasi Priya and Dr. Govindaraj, who passionately addressed the gathering. With their expertise and commitment, they highlighted the importance of early detection, lifestyle modifications, and regular screenings in combating cancer. The directors emphasized that knowledge is the first step in prevention and urged the participants to prioritize their health.

Over 50 enthusiastic students attended the session and actively engaged in discussions, making the program highly interactive and insightful. The participants expressed their gratitude for the valuable information shared, which not only deepened their understanding of cancer but also inspired them to adopt healthier habits.

As a follow-up to the awareness program, a breast cancer screening camp is set to be conducted exclusively for the students. This initiative aims to provide hands-on support and ensure early detection, as early intervention plays a critical role in treatment outcomes.

Harshamitra Hospital continues to uphold its commitment to community health by reaching out to various segments of society with programs like this, ensuring that awareness and care extend beyond the hospital premises. Such efforts exemplify the hospital’s dedication to fostering a healthier future through education, prevention, and timely medical intervention.
