As part of Pink October 2026 – Breast Cancer Awareness Month, K. Ramakrishnan College of Technology (KRCT), Tiruchirappalli, organised an awareness programme titled “Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Initiatives” for its faculty members and students.
Dr. P. Sasipriya Govindaraj, Consultant Radiation Oncologist and Executive Director, Harshamitra Super Speciality Cancer Centre and Research Institute Pvt. Ltd., took part as the Resource Person. She spoke about the importance of breast health awareness, recognising unusual changes, regular screening, and timely medical consultation. She also encouraged the students and faculty to share this awareness with women in their families and communities.
Dr. Sasipriya also introduced Harshamitra Hospital’s Pink October special screening package, which offers three breast screening tests, Mammogram, Thermogram, and Sonogram, for ₹999.
Through Pink October 2026, Harshamitra Cancer and Multispeciality Hospital continues to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage early detection among women.
