As part of Pink October 2025, Harshamitra Oncology Centre continues its mission of spreading awareness about breast cancer among young women.
On 24th October 2025, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, Harshamitra organized a Debate on “Breast Cancer Awareness among Today’s Women” at Chellammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kunnathur, Pudukkottai.
The event aimed to encourage students to think, speak, and share their views on breast health, early detection, and the importance of regular screening. The Executive Director of Harshamitra, Dr. P. Sasipriya, served as the judge for the debate and also interacted with the participants. She guided them on self-breast examination techniques and explained the need for early screening to save lives.
Every year, Harshamitra observes _Pink October_ with meaningful activities such as awareness rallies, survivor meets, free screening
camps, and health education sessions. These continuous efforts aim to reach women of all age groups and emphasize that early detection is the best protection.
Through such initiatives, Harshamitra continues to empower the younger generation with knowledge, encouraging them to be aware, stay healthy, and spread the message of hope and awareness to others.
