Sometimes, help doesn’t come with a big announcement. It comes quietly — in a box of hand-knitted beanies, made with care, given with heart.
We recently received a beautiful collection of hand-knitted beanies at Harshamitra Cancer & Multi Speciality Hospital, Nagamangalam, Trichy — donated for our cancer patients. Each one carefully made, stitch by stitch, by hands that may never meet the person wearing it. But that’s the thing about kindness — it doesn’t need an introduction.
Cancer treatment is hard. The chemotherapy, the hospital visits, the hair loss — it takes something from a person. And while medicine does its job, small gestures like these remind patients that the world outside hasn’t forgotten them. A warm beanie on a cold morning, during a long chemo session, means more than words can say.
To the wonderful souls who knitted these and made sure they reached our patients — thank you. You didn’t have to. But you did. And that says everything. it was very pleasant seeing our patients wearing these beanies with smile..
Help can come in any form. A donation, a prayer, a meal, a phone call — or a hand-knitted beanie. None of it is too small. All of it matters.
If you too wish to support our patients at Harshamitra Hospital in any way, your gesture — however big or small — will always find a grateful heart here.
