Not every company talks about women’s health. Global TVS Bus Body Builders Limited did — and that matters.
On 10th June 2026, Global TVS organised a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme for their women employees at the Training Hall, Canteen Building, at 2:30 PM. It wasn’t a token gesture. It was a proper, structured session on breast cancer prevention, early detection, and women’s health — led by one of the most accomplished oncologists in the region.
The resource person for the evening was Dr. P. Sasipriya Govindaraj, MBBS, DMRT, MD (RT) — Consultant Radiation Oncologist and Executive Director at Harshamitra Super Speciality Cancer Centre & Research Institute Pvt. Ltd., Trichy. A University Gold Medallist in DMRT, awarded by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, and a recipient of numerous recognitions including the SIWAA South Indian Women Achievers Award 2020, Inspirational Women Award 2023, and Thanga Tharagai Award 2024 — Dr. Sasipriya brought not just medical expertise to the room, but lived commitment to women’s health and cancer awareness across Tamil Nadu.
The session covered understanding breast cancer, the importance of early detection, self-breast examination awareness, risk factors and prevention, and closed with an open question and answer session — giving every woman in the room a chance to ask what she’d always wanted to ask but perhaps never had the right space to.
Early detection saves lives. That’s not a slogan — it’s a clinical fact. And the earlier a woman knows what to look for, the better her chances. Sessions like this, held inside a workplace where women spend most of their day, are exactly how awareness turns into action.
Dr. Sasipriya is also the Co-Founder of the Dhanabakkiyam Ganesan Pon Memorial Trust, which runs extensive cancer awareness and screening programmes for women — so this isn’t new territory for her. She carries this mission wherever she goes.
To the Management and HR Department of Global TVS Bus Body Builders Limited — thank you for making space for this conversation. Your employees left that hall more informed, more aware, and better equipped to look after themselves. That’s a good day’s work.
