Harshamitra Cancer & Multi Speciality Hospital, Trichy, in association with Rose Garden Hospice for Cancer Patients — under the Dhanabakkiyam Ganesan Pon Memorial Trust — conducted a Free Medical Camp on 21st June 2026 (Sunday) at SP Mahal, Aalambadi Road, Trichy, under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme.
The camp ran from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and saw an enthusiastic response from the local community. A total of 75 patients were registered and examined during the camp.
The screening included Pap Smear tests for 24 women, Breast examination for 24 patients, and Thermography screening for 15 patients. Specialist consultations and cancer screenings worth Rs. 5000 were offered completely free of charge to every patient who walked in.
The camp was led by Dr. G. Govindarajvardhanan, MBBS, MS, MCh, FICS, Senior Surgical Oncologist, and Dr. P. Sasipriya, MBBS, MD, DMRT, Cancer Radiation Specialist — both from Harshamitra Hospital. Patients were screened for a wide range of symptoms including breast and cervical concerns, unusual weight changes, persistent pain, skin changes, and other early warning signs of cancer.
The goal was simple — bring expert cancer screening to the doorstep of people who may not otherwise seek it. Early detection saves lives, and camps like these are a small but meaningful step in that direction.
Harshamitra Hospital remains committed to reaching every corner of the community with quality cancer care and awareness.
