Harshamitra hospital conducted an innovative awareness video reels competition titled “Reels Podunga! Real Hero Agunga- grand award ceremony function .
For the past 13 years, Harshamitra Cancer and Multi-Speciality Hospital in Trichy has been providing remarkable services in cancer treatment and has been actively engaging in cancer awareness campaigns every year. As part of this effort, this year the hospital conducted an innovative awareness video reels competition titled “Reels Podunga! Real Hero Agunga”
On behalf of Harshamitra Hospital, various film celebrities participated and encouraged the public by announcing that those who post short videos about the harms of tobacco and pledge not to smoke would receive prizes. Hello FM collaborated as the radio partner for this event.
More than 200 participants, including children, college students, teachers, young men and women, senior citizens, and transgender individuals, created and submitted videos opposing tobacco. From these, a selection committee led by film director Mr. G. Vasanthabalan chose the best 50 videos.
A grand award ceremony for the winners was held on Friday, May 31, at Harshamitra Hospital in Trichy, with film director Mr. G. Vasanthabalan as the chief guest.
The event was presided over by special guests such as Poet .Nandalala, Vice President of the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association, Mr. R.C. Udhayakumar, Chairman of Mother Teresa Institutions, and Dr. R. Ramesh Babu, District Designated Officer of the Food Safety Department, Tiruchirappalli.
Dr. G. Govindaraj Vardhanan, Managing Director of Harshamitra Hospital, welcomed the special guests. Director Vasanthabalan presented awards to the creators of the selected outstanding video reels. Dr. P. Sasipriya Govindaraj, Managing Director of the hospital, delivered the vote of thanks at the end of the event.
The event was organized by the Digital Marketing Department, hospital management staff, and Thulir Videos at Harshamitra Hospital.
Over 500 people, including the general public, college students, and youth, attended the event. Notably, the “Reels Podunga! Real Hero Agunga!” tobacco awareness video competition received significant attention and participation not only from Trichy but also from various districts and even international participants.
