As part of Pink October 2026 – Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Harshamitra Cancer and Multispeciality Hospital, Nagamangalam, Trichy, welcomed Dr. S. Shanmugaapriya, Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Science, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, as the Chief Guest of the Day.
She visited the hospital with more than 40 women students and conducted an awareness session on breast cancer, covering breast self-examination, ways to improve awareness, and the latest research in breast cancer care. The session helped students understand the importance of breast health, early detection, and the role of research in improving patient outcomes.
Dr. G. Madan, Head of the Department of Biomedical Science, Bharathidasan University, and Dr. Jagannathan also took part in the programme. At the end of the session, certificates were presented to the participating students.
Through Pink October 2026, Harshamitra Hospital continues to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage women to take proactive steps towards their health.
