As part of Pink October 2026 – Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Harshamitra Cancer and Multispeciality Hospital, Nagamangalam, Trichy, continued its month-long breast cancer awareness initiative.
Mrs. R. Ambiha, M.Sc. Nursing, Principal, Indra Ganesan College of Nursing, was honoured as the Chief Guest of the Day and took part in the Pink October awareness programme at the hospital.
Mrs. Ambiha and the students accompanying her were taken on a tour of the hospital, where they were introduced to the speciality departments, advanced medical facilities, diagnostic machines, and laboratories, gaining a closer look at the healthcare services available at Harshamitra Hospital.
A Breast Self-Examination awareness session was also conducted for the students, focusing on understanding breast health, noticing changes early, and the role of early detection.
The programme is part of the hospital’s month-long initiative to promote breast health awareness and early screening among women. As part of the Pink October campaign, Harshamitra Hospital continues to offer a special screening package at ₹999, featuring Mammogram, Thermogram, and Sonogram, available from 1 October to 31 October 2026.
Through its Chief Guest of the Day initiative, the hospital continues to bring together guests from different fields throughout the month, helping spread awareness about breast health and early detection.
